What changed in the 2026 revision
ISO 14001:2026 expands leadership requirements to explicitly support environmental leadership within non-management roles. Top management must demonstrate how they empower employees at all levels to contribute to environmental performance, not just delegate responsibility downward. This includes enabling environmental champions, green teams, or similar structures.
